Equating being fiscally responsible with not caring about people is both insulting, selfish, and entitled.

If the county is crippled financially by a bond payment default, it will negatively impact all residents of the county.

On the other hand, if Lifeways was "forced*" to obtain non-bond, marginally higher-cost financing, it would, at worst, only impact the cost of delivering services to those that use them.

So which group, the fiscally responsible or the fiscally reckless, is acting in the best interest of the residents en masse?

----

* "Forced," like the financing families and small businesses must use.

If you watched or heard after they handed out the slop they came to the public realization that they don't have the money for district court and they have sold the building.

Wiley, Leinger and Collins are all about expanding government. For more programs that don’t work and that money goes to administration costs.

I think Mr. Bentley said it best two meetings ago. "How bout more money for the parks, less for life ways?" (paraphrased). 15.5 million for lifeway's...... 15000 for parks.... says all I need to hear. Not to mention the bombshell of the meeting, the courthouse situation and the squandering of the biggest windfall the community will ever get on a "historic building" to cement a "man's legacy".

Hillsdale Daily is a complete rag! "Does anyone read the daily anymore?" PS (paraphrased).

Why in this community does the one at the top not held accountable for any failures? It's a kushy job being in charge in this community/county, nothing is ever your fault... "it's the people".

No coverage of the courthouse conversation? That to me was the real bombshell of the meeting. A public admission we don't have the money to meet our legal requirements.... but we do have a "historic landmark". BRAVO COMMISSION, BRAVO! (golf clap)
